Presenter Information

Student Presentations
Student presentations will take place on Saturday morning. Please see the schedule page [link to schedule page] for details. Please arrive at the conference no later than 9:30am to make sure you are set up and ready to go.

Student presentations will be 15 minutes long including time for questions and transitions. You should prepare a talk that is about 10-12 minutes long, leaving about 2-4 minutes for questions, and one minute for transitions between speakers.

A projector and speakers will be available and you should plan to bring your own laptop to present from. If you do not have your own laptop, we will have a Windows computer available for you to use. Please bring your slides on a USB stick.

If you require additional resources please let the program chairs (alvarado@cs.hmc.edu and jenn@cs.ucla.edu) know ASAP.

Faculty/researcher presentations and lightning talks
All faculty and researcher presentations (full and lightning) will take place on Sunday morning. Please see the schedule page [link to schedule page] for details. If possible, please try to arrive at the conference no later than 9:30am to make sure you are set up and ready to go.

Full length talks will be 20 minutes including time for questions and transitions. You should prepare a 15-17 minute talk. Lightning talks will be 5 minutes including questions and transitions. You should prepare a 2-3 minute talk.

Posters and Demos
The poster/demo session will take place Saturday afternoon. You may prepare either a single poster or multiple sheets to post on your board. We will provide materials to attach your poster to the board. Please be prepared to have your poster set up before 3:30pm. Please arrive at the conference on Saturday no later than 9:30am to make sure you have time to get set up and know where to go.

Please email the programs chairs (alvarado@cs.hmc.edu and jenn@cs.ucla.edu) ASAP if you require additional resources (e.g., power, a table, etc). We will do our best to secure these for you.

At least one presenter should staff your poster throughout the poster session (3:30-5pm).
