The legend of this cathedral goes something like this: The builder made a deal with the devil to have it built quickly. The devel would help so long as when you walked in you couldn't see any windows, the idea being it would be a dismil place. Upon inspection, the devil saw he had been outsmarted -- the windows were not visable from the entry yet it was still a well-lit space. In anger the devil stamped his foot on the floor leaving a footprint (shown). (Originally there was something blocking the view of the window over the alter.)
