Editing PortalPrank
The PortalPrank was a prank pulled by the EastDormClassOf2011 on SuiteTreason. It was inspired by the recently released [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal_(video_game) Portal] when either EthanSokol or RichardMehlinger put a sign which said Aperture Sciences on their door. The prank was planned over a period of several weeks by many members of the EastDormClassOf2011, including: *AlexMcAuley *AndreyShur *ChrisFerguson *DanMoore *DmitriSkjorshammer *HamsterBob *KevinYeung *MadeleineOng *MattKeeter *MaxwellLee *MichaelNoback *PeterTu *SabreenLakhani *TimNguyen We planned the prank for a Thursday morning, when frosh have no classes until noon and sophomores have E&M lecture at 9:35. Anyone in EastLounge that morning would have noticed a suspicious preponderance of frosh, sitting around looking shady. We got into the rooms through a combination of climbing and social engineering: the cracked-open upper window proved no challenge to DanMoore, and SabreenLakhani convinced BobChen to let her use his bathroom as he was leaving for class. Here's how it went down: '''Room 1''' - AlexYoung & SamJust *Walls papered over with white paper *Everything pushed off the floor *Blue portal placed in ceiling *Warning signs put up about falling companion cubes *Portal soundtrack playing in the background *Security camera watching over everyone '''Room 2''' - MartijnvanSchaardenburg & KwangKetcham *Walls papered over *Floor cleared *Portal gun in center of room, facing an orange portal on wall *Security camera watching over everyone *Portal sound files playing '''Room 3''' - BobChen & StevenBerler *Walls papered over, floor cleared *Weighted Companion Cube in middle of room (yay!) *Pictures of BobChen and StevenBerler with weighted companion cube stuck over their faces hidden behind wall *THE CAKE IS A LIE written in various places behind the white paper *A camera just by the door, watching all who enter. '''Room 4''' - BenKeller & ChrisSauro *We realized while waiting for the sophmores to leave that ChrisSauro was still in his room. A brief excursion through his window confirmed that he was, in fact, still sleeping. Sleeping through E&M lecture. This put a damper on our original plans (Place a blue portal in the floor of his room, an orange portal in the ceiling of another, and move all the junk on his floor to the other room). We ended up leaving his room alone, and leaving a Portal cake outside his door to enjoy. The cake was not a lie- it was delicious and moist. *However, he claims that if we did do something to his room, he wouldn't have woken up anyway. The portal camera is still (11/07) hung up in EastLounge, creeping out those who enter. *And in 106!
