Euro-Persian Hybrid is a weave that combines the Half-Persian 3 in 1 weave with European 4 in 1. It creates sheets that tend to curve in on themselves, while having an appearance similar to courduroy. Good ring sizes include 1/4" 18 gauge, and 3/16" 20 gauge.
For these instructions, red and blue rings are the two rows of the Half-Persian chains. Green rings are used for the European section.
Step 1: Weave two chains of HP 3-1 slightly longer than the final sheet should be tall. When the European rings are added, they contract the weave slightly. Notice that one of the chains is woven in the opposite direction from the other. This is necessary to allow the next step.
Step 2: Pass a new ring (green) through two of the rings on one chain and two of the rings on the other. Notice that the rings thus connected form a piece of European 4 in 1.
Step 3: Continue adding rings down the chains until you reach the end.
That's the basic concept. You should now have two HP chains connected to each
other. To widen the weave, make another HP chain running in the same direction
as the chain on the left, and connect it to the chain on the right. Good luck!
