Review of "From Out of Nowhere, Part II"

The 2nd part of "From Out of Nowhere" starts out with Andros and the 4 powerless Rangers fighting Quantrons. In spite of the fact that Andros probably could not have finished off the Quantrons without help, the first impression that I got of Andros was that he was a jerk who simply did not like accepting help from anyone. This was pretty clear after Andros refused to let Ashley help him fix the Astro Megaship. But after Andros dropped off the 4 powerless Rangers so that they could fly their space shuttle home, Alpha 6 convinced Andros that he had to accept help if he wanted to save Zordon. Personally, I really like Alpha 6's new voice after Andros fixed him, since it reminds me of Alpha 5, who was really cool.

After Andros realized that he was wrong in not letting his new friends help him, he seemed to be a lot nicer. He was never really a jerk; he just hadn't fully understood the benefits of teamwork until he had that talk with Alpha 6. After the 4 Rangers from earth received their new Astro powers, the new morphing sequence was really cool. As a Megaranger fan, the morphing sequence looked very familiar, except for a few minor changes. There were some inconsistencies in the fight against the Quantrons immediately after the Rangers morphed. An example: how did the Rangers know what their special weapons were only about 1-2 minutes after receiving their new powers?

The footage of the Astro Megaship morphing into the Astro Megazord was really interesting, as were the images of an evil alien ship graphically blowing up after the Megazord's sword sliced through it. On a final note, D.E.C.A., the Megaship's main computer, is pretty funny in that she tends to talk too much.  :-)

Overall, this episode is definitely worth seeing, especially if you've watched Toei's "Denji Sentai Megaranger."
