Seeing Ashley have a monster transform her into a look-alike of Ashley was one thing. But seeing Ashley ask the monster to change her into a look-alike of Astronema seemed somewhat amusing to me. While on board the Astro Megaship, the fake Ashley did a pretty good job fooling everyone into believing that she was the real Ashley, at least for a while. She even accepted the birthday present from Alpha 6 that was intended for the real Ashley!
After the fake Ashley tricked Andros into believing that a monster was attacking the earth. The real Ashley (posing as fake Astronema) saves Andros from being blown up by the real Astronema (posing as fake Ashley). After Andros fights the real Ashley, she proves that the fake Ashley really is a fake, asking her what Andros gave her for her birthday. After the real Astronema is revealed, she goes after the fake Astronema. But the real Astronema's attempt at impersonating Ashley falls apart when she fails to execute the correct movements in response to the words "Let's rocket!" & the real Ashley is identified by Andros. The Rangers then destroy the monster with the Mega Voyager.
After the Rangers win, it's quite obvious why Ashley was afraid to remove her helmet. And at the very end of the episode, we see Andros looking at a cryogenic tube, which, according to the preview for the next ep, contains the silver Space Ranger. And it appears that the silver ranger will be okay, according to his EEG readings. What an interesting episode! And the next ep will also be very exciting to watch.
