The Predators got their 1st goal of the 1999-2000 season. The goal was
scored by Cliff Ronning (with an assist by Kimmo Timonen).
Randy Robitaille scored his first NHL goal with 6:48 left in the 3rd
period.
LOWLIGHTS:
The Predators gave up a power-play goal for the 2nd consecutive game.
The Predators still haven't scored on the power play.
The Predators allowed Colorado to rally from a 2-1 deficit to a 3-2 win
over the Predators late in the 3rd period.
COMMENTS: The Predators' offense in this game was, overall, a big
improvement over their flat performance in the previous game. The Predators
had a one-goal lead over the Avs at 2 points during the game. Unfortunately,
the Predators' defense seemed to take a snooze during the second half of the
3rd period, giving up the tying goal to the Avs with 6:48 left in the 3rd
period & the winning goal to the Avs 59 seconds later. Indeed, that lapse in
the Predators' defense proved to be costly for the Predators.
