Predators opened scoring with Cliff Ronning's goal at 5:56 of the
first period.
LOWLIGHTS:
Predators allowed 4 unanswered goals by New Jersey.
Dunham suffered an injury about 2:26 into the 2nd period.
Before Dunham left the game, he had stopped only 4 of 6 New Jersey
shots in the game.
COMMENTS: I have to say, it seems that Vokoun played a lot
better in goal for Nashville than Dunham. Vokoun stopped 23 of 25 New
Jersey shots on goal. Also, the Predators' special teams hurt the
Predators by not scoring a power play goal in this game & by
surrendering a power play goal to New Jersey. The shots on goal is
nearly even on both sides, with Nashville barely outshooting New
Jersey 32-31. But clearly, the Predators seemed to be inconsistent in
the past few games in terms of defense and offense.
