*Stanford is located in Stanford, California. Palo Alto is the adjacent suburb, which is built entirely on Stanford land. If memory serves, Palo Alto originally was where Stanford built homes for professors to live and then they just continued to sell the land to the city. This means you end up with Stanford (which I want to say is 94306) and then Palo Alto (94301 and 94303) but no one really bothers to distinguish between the two --MacKenzieStuart, Palo Alto High School, Class of 2003
