Semester 1. (top)
Wow. New place, new climate. Drove to Cornell from Chicago in one 12 hour sitting. Slept in my car in the parking lot outside Upson Hall my first night in Ithaca. Moved to my office the next night -- there's a shower in the basement. Courses start smoothly, research starts shaky, I join the Buds (Cornell Ultimate), I play ice hockey with the computer science department. Oh, it only took me about a month to find an apartment. Office floor space isn't as bad as it sounds.

Semester 2. (top)
Quals are a little laim. Except for the theory qual, which was a little funny. The semester started without me (ultimate tournament in malibu), continued without me (ultimate tournament in san diego), and is proceeding fairly smoothly, considering up to midterm week I'd spent more time in California that New York (stanford ultimate tournament).
