Horizon II is my macintosh G3. I purchased the original Horizon (a supermac c500) sometime in the Summer of 97, just before my freshman year at HMC. The next summer the G3s came out and I upgraded to Horizon II. It's quite handy for papers, web-browsing, graphics, and any sort of thing one might want to do with a normal personal computer. It's a damn slick machine, Mac OS 8 has some pretty nice features. 2002 Update: I'm still using Horizon, though its getting slower with all sorts of funky new programs. I'm a little unhappy with Macintosh, right now, because I have to keep an old version of the OS so I can watch VHS movies on my computer. I'm pretty happy with the prospects of OS X, though, because if you say it fast it sounds like 'Oh Sex!' and it has a unix kernel inside so I may not need two home computers anymore! I'll probably hook myself up with a new computer sometime in the next year or so, and that will be exciting. This computer's been great, but its getting a little outdated. :( |
