Great Parties!

Ultimate is that sport they play with those flatish spinning things called frisbees, or discs. You can find out more about the game and game equipment from the above sites. All I'll say is that its fun like crazy. I started playing in high school, but never really found out what it was all about until I played in college with the Claremont Braineaters, a group of awesome people who I love dearly, and have just a little bit too much fun to be as good I know they could be if they set there minds to it. Sadly, when I packed up and moved from southern california to upstate new york, the team didn't fit in my suitcase and I had to leave them behind.

While the Brains have no replacement, I've found myself playing out my last year of college eligibility with the Cornell Buds -- a top-notch college team. No one knows why they are so good, considering Cornell's in the middle of freaking nowhere, but I'm looking forward to kicking some ass at nationals with this year's squad. After I lose eligibility, I'm not really sure what I'll do. Maybe I'll be able to spend some time on grad school.

Probably not. Ithaca is also the home of a fun group of ultimate playing types known at least once by the name of The Spurious Gorges. I practiced with these fellows in the Fall of 2001, and just didn't have much time to play with them in the following Spring. Come next season I will undoubtedly be spending more time on their playing field.
