Welcome to the official website of the Claremont Colleges Psyko Taiko!

This has been an amazing year for Psyko Taiko. We started off in the fall of 2008 practicing (and performing!) on taped orange buckets every Saturday from 10am - noon. Then in March 2009, with the help of UC Riverside's Senryu Taiko, we completed a two-year project of creating four taiko drums (see photos of this process in our gallery). This year, we were able to replace the Pat-Pat of our plastic buckets with a big DON! :)

(Our official colors also became Purple, Black, and White.)

This upcoming year, we hope to grow as much as we did with the senior class of 2009. From bimonthly curry nights, to joint practices with other collegiate taiko groups, we have many new things in store for Psyko Taiko 2009-2010! Stay tuned, and keep listening for a DON near you!
