Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires has fantastic cafes, and they're everywhere. I spent so much time reading or studying in cafes with a nice cup of tea. :)

The famous Casa Rosada, or "Pink House," home of Argentine presidents. This is actually the back side, but it is much prettier than the front. Madonna also sang from one of those balconies in "Evita."

Some rather weird trees in one of the many parks.

Beware the Buenos Aires spiders! Okay, so actually they just don't put much effort into organizing their wires, but they look like spider webs to me.

A fantastic puppeteer at the San Telmo Sunday fair. The observant may notice he's wearing the same outfit as his puppet.

Eva Peron's grave in Recoleta Cemetary. All the flowers are from the anniversary of her death the week before.

Portenos protest constantly. This one was in honor of a group of students who were killed in a protest, I believe in 2001.

More protesters. Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of the huge marches down Avenida de Mayo near my apartment.
