Santa Tereza

Santa Tereza is a hilltop bairro near the downtown area (Centro). You take a little streetcar, called a bodinho, up. Felt like riding a rollercoaster to me, especially going over the Arcos do Lapa (an old aqueduct). We didn't take a lot of pictures here, sadly. We visited the day after climbing Sugar Loaf, and mostly we were obsessed with posing with the mountain behind us so we could show it to people.

The hillside around the Parque Ruinas has some pretty buildings. Santa Tereza is picturesque in general.
