Q: How did East come to have wiki? I just ran into [This] and I'm curious as to the history as people here know it.
One day during the 1999-2000 school year (I think it might have been at a dorm meeting), TheBrubeck announced
to the lounge that there was this cool thing called Funwiki at some now long-defunct address. And people should
go there and create stuff. He later informed us that we were all crack-monkeys, having created 6 megs of data in
some absurdly short period of time. If someone else has a better memory of this, please correct me. I didn't pay
too much attention to it originally, so my memory is likely faulty. -- EdMiller

- Every turn you can move every piece once if you want to, but you can only make one capture. (Mike originaly suggested three moves per turn and the idea morphed in conversation)
- BattleshipChess? (Courtesy of various peoples at brunch last December 2004)(Apparently a varient already invented earlier and independantly as mentioned below.)
- You can only see your own pieces. You never see your opponents pieces. Third parties tell you what moves are illegal. (Possibly might make this that they only tell you if a move is illegal after you've tried it. This way you won't just ask them legal and illegal moves until you figure out the board.)

bunkbeds to block light while your roommate works.
I've put a box in one of the East storages that is CLEARLY marked 'Free' and I'll put things in it as I'm done with them.

- A set of packets from Steinberg's Global Environmental Politics which is taught in the fall.
- Possibly other packets from classes as I run across them.

- Clothes - a couple of shirts I got from cousins and can't bring myself to wear (am not so good at showing my midrift), another shirt, a pj shirt.

For Sale Immediately:

- 10 large screws and associated bolts and washers (roughly the size of the screws and bolts used to construct East Beds but probably not the same size). I believe these cost me at least $10 and I'd be willing to sell them for $5.
For Sale Maybe:
- My bike - Will depend on where I go and what sort of a price I can get for it here. I bought it new when I was a frosh. It's a really nice mountain bike, has been well used and loved these 4 years. If anyone has any suggestions as to how one should go about selling a bike here or such, please tell me.
- Phone - I currently have two phones. One works like a dream but doesn't have an answering machine. The other has an excellent answering machine but I find it a little hard to hear some people over the phone proper. I also have a plug that you can plug two phones into the same socket. I probably will be selling all three of these things as a set. But it will depend on where I end up after college and whether I want to be lazy and take them with me.
