Ravenloft (11/98 - ?)
- System: AD&D 2nd Edition
- DM: DanStone?
- Players: IanTullis, BretHutchinson, AriNieh, TinaWang?
- Synopsis: A party of brave souls is thrust into the immense evil that is Ravenloft. Bad puns, naked elves, exploding heads, and gay bondage minotaur jokes abound.
The Ruins of Khazad (5/01 - present [still going?!?])
- System: AD&D 3rd Edition
- DM: BretHutchinson
- Players: EmilyCukier, IanTullis, LinleyHall, DavidClark?, MarySullivan, StephGrush, DougHonma, AriNieh
- Synopsis: An unlikely alliance of nations defeats Khazad, an empire ruled by heretical wizards. After dividing the land, each nation sends a representative to rule a province of Khazad. Will they gain the trust of the Khazadian people? How long will the uneasy peace last?
Lori and Steph's Campaign (does it have a name?) (3/02 - present [conclusion pending?])
- System: D&D 3rd edition
- DM: LoriThomas and StephGrush
- Players: DanCicio, MicahSmukler, ArielBarton, WillShipley, NickJohnson, ChrisWottawa, JulieWortman, MaryPeter (left), JoshMiddendorf (left).
- Synopsis: A party of six is chosen by the gods to go forth and kick some monster ass (with the potential for actual plot someday). This is the campaign that gave us the FuzzyBlueThing. On sabbatical while Nick's away, I seem to recall... all I can say is that if we don't run the last session eventually, I'll whoop . . . DMs' ASS
Silent Nights in Akratha (a.k.a. Ed's Summer Campaign) (5/02-present[?])
- System: D&D 3rd edition
- DM: EdMiller
- Players: ArielBarton, AlexBobbs (Hi, my name is Bingo), RachelGabor, JoshMiddendorf, MaryPeter, MicahSmukler
- Synopsis: Characters are working for the thieves guild in the city of Akratha (some more voluntarily than others). The city is currently reeling in the wake of a rash of assassinations (the dead include the head of the temple of law and the leader of the thieves guild), now revealed to have been the work of a rival organization attempting to infringe upon the thieves' guild's territory.
Josh's Summer Campaign (name?) (6/02-present)
- System: D&D 3rd edition
- DM: JoshMiddendorf
- Players: ArielBarton, EdMiller, MaryPeter, MicahSmukler
- Synopsis: Ruins exploration. Silly gnomish tomb. Nasty technicolor puffballs. After having killed a dragon and acquired the treasure it had collected, the party finds itself to be rather odd-looking, to say the least; aside from its wizard (still apparently normal and human except for the PurPle hair bestowed on him by an overly affectionate scimitar), it consists of a gnollish paladin (who was always that way), a centaur druid (as the result of a lucky roll on the reincarnation table), and a thief who alternates daily between being 2 1/2 feet tall and 7 1/2 feet tall (because of an unremovable ring).
- The unremovable ring has since been removed.
- The gnoll has now been reincarnated as a wolf.
Round Robin IM Star Wars (6/02--presently on hiatus)
- System: 1st edition West End Star Wars
- GM: Rotating
- Players: NickJohnson, StephGrush, WillShipley, MicahSmukler (departed), DanCicio (departed?), JulieWortman (added)
- Synopsis: Stuff happens. Nick leaves early, or ends sessions early, due to sibling rivalry. Dan's character is our willing slave (and a really spiffy pilot in absentia). Sessions end as the sun comes up on the West Coast, and much pity is had for party members in the Midwest and New York. Was placed in carbonite storage over the 2002-03 school year, and revived the following summer.
Eye of Chaos (2/03 - 6/05) (see EyeOfChaos)
- System: Mage, 3rd ed (bastardised)
- ST: StephGrush
- Players: ReginaCarns (departed), LoriThomas, JulieWortman, PomonaSteve (departed), ClayHambrick, WillShipley, EliBogart
- Synopsis: It began, nonsensically, with a stoner and a glowing cat. But then something went (more) wrong. Something is affecting the balance of the planes, opening the way for a malevolent, soul-sucking evil to take over the quaint town of Athens, California. Or is it just this season's flu? As the tides of darkness rise, only eight stand in their way. Five reluctant heroes... and three hastily mind-raped squirrels. The final session took place over the course of several late-night AIM chats, and the campaign is now complete, barring the inevitable epilogues, appendices, DM interrogations, and tie-ins to the upcoming sequel. Is it too early for a ShadowStorms? Wiki node?
Matt's First Deadlands Campaign (9/03 - 5/04)
- System: Slightly modified Deadlands first edition (non-d20)
- DM: MattWalsh
- Players: CalvinCurtis, ClayHambrick, AlexUtter, SeleneTan, RickHavlak?, RyanRiegel, joined later by KayBennett?
- Synopsis: Matt has never GM'd before. Therefore, we will have humor and names such as "Boxtext Mountain" and the like. Also, the furniture was wonderful. The statue was more awesome. Mowing down armies is great fun also. Ryan probably was a broken character concept. Clay, however, was broken with is ~12d8? or whatever damage and ninja skillz. And the ninja music box that gave a bonus to sneak. Noone ever found out Alex was in the Agency, but he made a tank. Mostly, the party wandered through a set of premade scenarios while I got the hang of things, then we did 2 major plot arcs of killing the things of which I had a statue and then the army. And then Rick came back as the ubervillian after having been dragged off after the first semester and was weak (even in his powered up form). Oh well.
Richard's StarWars Campaign (Spring '04 to not too long afterwards)
- System: WotC? StarWars d20, Revised Edition
- DM: RichardGarfinkel
- Players:
- Synopsis: It all started benignly enough. There was a Jedi and a sniper and some stormtroopers. MaryPeter tried to run from her past. Her past showed up and shot her in the stomach. And stuff.
Matt's Second Deadlands Campaign (9/04 - 12/04)
- System: Slightly modified Deadlands first edition (non-d20)
- DM: MattWalsh
- Players: ClayHambrick, AlexUtter, RobinSchriebman, NotSteve, ChrisRoberts, KayBennett?
- Synopsis: I had a cool plot that didn't happen. Therefore, Alex and his mad martial art skillz led the party out to the mountain, was faced with the worst trap detection ever, did the stuff, and came back. Then they went to Canada for contrived reasons. Then attrition hit with people missing, Clay having clinic or thesis or something, MattWalsh just passing AlgoRithms?, etc. We almost got back together second semester, but NotSteve was working in the middle of the time and MattWalsh was silly by taking LSD, Robotics, and MachineLearning? all at once, and so the newly reformulated awesome plot died. (This makes about 1/3 of weekends great for meetings, 1/3 not great, and 1/3 horrible).
Caladania2? (Fall '04 - Winter '05 and resuming sometime)
- System: D+D 3e, sort of.
- DM: NickJohnson
- Players: ArielBarton, MicahSmukler, JoshMiddendorf, MaryPeter, EdMiller (look, its the Chicago collective)
- Synopsis: In the aftermath of the SagaOfClivesdale, an assassin is killing those in the royal line one by one. One of our heros [Josh] is tasked with tracking down this assassin, and the others get dragged in for a variety of reasons. (I swear [Ariel] is just with them because otherwise she'd be bored). Belman, Kess, and Olivia make a guest appearance. Belman saves [Josh]'s ass. Then they were instructed to head south and get the ruler of Elhadan to call off the assassin based on information that the assassin comes from an organization based there. They don't buy he's responsible, but theyre kind of obligated to go anyway - that whole regent demanding it thing. Awaiting Nick to have enough brain to plan anything.
RyanRiegel's DonJon game (as yet nameless)
Josh's Evil Underground Campaign (Sping '05, died quickly due to lack of interest)
- System: D+D 3e, more or less
- DM: JoshMiddendorf
- Players: The Chicago Collective - MaryPeter, MicahSmukler, ArielBarton, NickJohnson, EdMiller
- Synopsis: We're trapped, underground, with no memory of before we woke up in a cavern with a cask of poisoned wine. We have limited light generating objects, limited food, and started at 1st level. Look, its ironman Angband! An adventurer without light is jackal food. I hope we don't run into any jackals... Just wait till you're starving. Then you'll eat those mushrooms of mania.
WorstExaltedCampaignEver (summer and fall of '05)
- System: White Wolf's Exalted (WorldOfSorrows?)
- DM: DuctTapeGuy
- Players: DebbieBerg, LittleTiffany, ThePyro, BriannaLyonRoberts
- Synopsis: The DM introduces the Zerg into Creation, throwing the balance of power all the hell out of whack. The intrepid and rather eclectic party of highly overpowered characters then makes war on the forces of the Dead and on the Zerg at the same time. Well, in retrospect, it was necessary that both were preparing to conquer Creation at the same time, so they could be used against each other. Essentially, a few smashfests and a few epic battles (and a few Adams being creative) settle the score, though Kerrigan got away, and a sequel which won't be played at Mudd could involve tracking her down once and for all.
Matt's Third Deadlands Campaign (9/05 - ongoing)
- System: Slightly modified Deadlands first edition (non-d20)
- DM: MattWalsh
- Players: RobinSchriebman, NotSteve, MikeBeyer?, MikeEarnst?, and PeterMclarnan?
- Synopsis: Character creation done. Plot plotted but not really going yet. Players start in Phoenix and/or Tombstone and are hired to escort an empty ghost rock caravan to the Maze (for ghost rock pickup).
Will's MountainWitch? Campaign (2/06 - ongoing)
- System: [The Mountain Witch] (indie, TimFire? Publishing) (Link appears borken)
- DM: WillShipley
- Players: AndrewTaylor, StephGrush, KevinBergemann, JulieWortman, SeleneTan, JonathanBeall
- Synopsis: A desperate band of ronin ascends Mt. Fuji to assault and destroy O-Yanma, the dreaded Mountain Witch. But though they battle against an army of mooks, supernatural terrors, and Winter herself, the greatest danger they face may be each other . . .
For the record, I'm sad this page hasn't been edited since I died... --DuctTapeGuy
Epic of the Undying (9/12 - 3/15)
- System: D&D 3.5 - Time for some rocket tag
- DM: DevonStork
- Players: SarahScheffler, GeorgeAspesi, JoziMcKiernan, HannahRose, JtBooth, VivianSteyert
- Synopsis: Five low-level characters start out as bodyguards of a commander in the Union Army. The army is defeated and they escape with a letter warning of a malicious plot to bring darkness and chaos to the world. Determined that if darkness and chaos will be brought to the world, they will be the ones to bring it, the party sets out to thwart the evil Nazelle (XandaSchofield). Along the way they defeat and turn a minion of Nazelle's and gain a sixth party member (VivianSteyert)! Game ended finals week of senior year after hundreds of hours of play. Characters progressed from level 3 to level 20 and everybody gained multiple templates. Things got a little overpowered toward the end.

Curse of Strahd (10/18 — present)
