On a
VideoGame, you get the high score when you beat all the scores that came before you. List your highscores here; keep the list in alphabetical order by game.
- 1000 Miglia: Great 1000 Miles Rally

- [3D Logic] - AlexUtter, MikeBuchanan, AndrewFarmer, SteveHaas, EvilSouthie, JoshMiddendorf, NickJohnson, LauraKanofsky, AlanKraut, EllenKephart, MichaelBraly finished (level 30).
- Aliens - WillShipley. Completed game without continues, 486,500 points
- Scores
- NickJohnson; 1282%, score 13680 points, (SMAC, transcend, Deirdre, 388 future tech, 127 pop city, energy 3367785, abundant lifeforms)
- NickJohnson: 983%, Transcend difficulty (SMAC, Yang, 100 pop city!)
- BrianYoung: 629%, Transcend difficulty (Alien Crossfire). I don't actually remember details of this game, but it's on my score list. Currently working to exceed it.
- JulieWortman: 870% and 17402 points, Talent difficulty (SMAC, University, Tiny map, Iron Man, abundant life forms). I had altogether too much free time this summer.
- Fast Conquest
- JulieWortman: 90 turns, Believers, Tiny planet, Specialist. 4 eradications, 2 pacts. Yeah, mostly I just wanted to stomp things.
- City Size theory: the largest city (in most cases) could generate 6*20 food +3 for the base is 123 food. When you add in satellites, the limit of population size as you add satellites effectively nets you another 123 food, for a total of 236 food. This is a 123 size city. In the monsoon jungle, each square produces an additional 1 food (+2 with condenser), (+41, +82 with satellites) for another 41 population size (163). With nutrient resources, you get an additional +2 resources, +3 w/ condenser, but you are unlikely to have too many of these. This makes the max pop size 163 + 3 per nutrient resources within zone of control. Note this also produces the most minerals and energy (from satellites) possible for the base. Eg, each square produces effectively 12 food (assuming not monsoon jungle), 6 minerals, and 6 energy, + transcendi because of your huge population. CORRECTION: max city size is 127, for stupid reasons.
Ok, i think im done with SMAC for awhile. --Nick
- [Avalanche] - 157,090, JeffBergemann?, lost on level 13. Well you said I should be able to beat it.
- [Bloxorz] AlanKraut, a no-help win, MaxGibiansky, a win but with some algorithmic help on stage 31 (got stuck, coded up a program, program didn't actually solve it but did remind me of how the rules work and how to solve it)
- [Bookworm]
- highest score 1,634,900 (ConorMcNassar), 469410 (MicahSmukler), 340520 (ErikShimshock)
- longest word FIGURINES (MicahSmukler, except for the stupid web-version-only-allowing-8-letter-words thing) SPARKLIES (NickJohnson, also too long) CANADIANS (ColleenSullivan, also too long and perhaps proper noun)
- Weird, it won't take FREEZING, and thats only 8 letters... Gold Z too...
- best words MAGAZINE (10200, NickJohnson), MAGICIAN (8120 points, MicahSmukler)
- [Bowling (10 pin)]: 155 (AlexBobbs 6/17/06); 147 SteveHaas (Note that in general I'm more like 90. Just happened to get 4 strikes in a row one game); 192 PeterTu
- Someone should be able to beat this, but I wanted to encourage this fine sport. I suppose it's arguable if it belongs here though. --MattWalsh
- Well, I can, but unfortunately I don't remember exactly what the score was. Something on the order of 180. --AlanKraut
- Chiral- AlexBobbs. Started at Freshman Level, finally lost on Senior Stage 4. 111,870 points
- [Dance With Intensity] SeleneTan left hand AA/right hand AA on various easy 4/ medium 5 songs (as well as all easy 1/2 with medium, and varying ones below easy 4/medium 5), e.g. DDR 3rd mix Butterfly, 4th mix Burning the Floor, 5th mix Moonlight Shadow and Abyss... 1.5x speed makes it easier, honest! Come on, someone else has to be crazy enough to play DDR on a PC simulator in two-hand versus mode...
- My hard drive hiccuped a while ago and ate most of my high scores. This is my most recent score since then; I haven't played nearly as much. Butterfly left hand Light 28,844,705 (AA); right hand Heavy 46,001,569 (A). Double is for the weak! Play with two different difficulties at the same time!
- Deimos Rising - PeterMcLarnan? 1,293,810 at Thermopylae; AlexBobbs 862,380 at Kepler Massif
- [Don't Make Mommy Cry] LizKadison, EvilSouthie, NickJohnson, RobinBaur, SteveHaas, RobinDobashi, AndrewHunter, JiBB, ColleenSullivan, MacKenzieStuart, DuctTapeGuy, AmandaKlaus Level 8
- [Don't Shoot the Puppy]
-
- SteveHaas, Level 15, Time Spent Not Shooting the Puppy: 526:52
- Nick Johnson, Level 15 Time Spent Not Shooting the Puppy: 20:15
- LizKadison, Level 15, Time Spent Not Shooting the Puppy: 11:16.
- WillShipley, Level 15, TSNStP: 10:46.
- MicahSmukler, Level 15, TSNTtP: 10:43.
- ColleenSullivan, Level 15, TSNTtP: 9:53.
- EvilSouthie, Level 15, TSNTtP: 9:47.
- KevinOelze, Level 15, TSNTtP: 9:35
- SteveHaas, Level 15 TSNTtP: 9:21 (are we going for longest time or shortest?)
- DuctTapeGuy, Level 1, TSNTtP: 3 seconds (there, new shortest record ;P)
- SteveHaas, Level 1, TSNTtP: 1 second (I was thinking shortest time to beat the game, because this is obviously stupid).
- MaxGibiansky, Level 1,TSNTtP: 0 seconds. (Yes, it actually said zero)
- [Dungeonman 3]: AlexBobbs, NickJohnson, JoshMiddendorf, 38 and a win.
- Is it possible to do worse while still winning?
- The "Kiga" minigame is rigged so you can't win it until you're supposed to have the necessary information. All the rest of the puzzles require items IIRC, so I don't think anything can be skipped.
- The hag is likewise rigged.
- [Escape!] - the stupid game recently posted to Schmack - 42.18 NateCappallo (it gets faster after about 35 seconds or so).
- [Evaporative Cooling in a Bose-Einstein Condensate]: ColleenSullivan, 38 atoms left. SteveHaas, 33 atoms left. MikeBuchanan, 31 atoms left. This is without moving atoms manually, because if we allow all the controls of the game, it's not very hard to leave all 50.
- This score will take a lot of luck to beat, I think, since I haven't even changed the trap height and it's hit 31 atoms without condensing. --RichardGarfinkel
- I don't know, even using the controls its hard to get a very large number because grabbing atoms isn't trivial. My highscore with moving atoms: 48. NickJohnson
- Nick, just pause it right at the beginning and put them all in. Easy 50. -SteveHaas
- You can pause it? Huh, never even looked for such a thing. Ok, but mine is without pausing.
- So, I was running some of these at random the other day and got a legitimate 50. Twice. I don't know if it's a bug or what, but it *did* happen... I just clicked start and the whole thing condensed. - SteveHaas
- FlashNet - all scores are on the maximum screen size (13x11?)
- non-wrapping walls - SteveHaas 1430000 (maximum possible score).
- wrapping walls - DanCicio 1326111
- wrapping walls, no locking - NateCappallo 1130418
- [FreeRice]: ColleenSullivan, lvl 50 @ I don't know how many, but I've racked up > 30,000 total, EllenKephart - lvl 50 @ 1900 grains, MikeBuchanan - lvl 49 @ 1100 grains. I'm not prepared to figure out a conversion factor between higher levels and fewer grains... Except shouldn't the HighScore also be the person with the most grains?
- FreeRice? now has more subjects. I don't think we need to list everyone who manages to make it to level 2 of Multiplication Tables, but I'll be impressed by anyone who makes it to level 10 of Famous Paintings.
- GalsPanic? S2 (Fnord) - Complete the game with 100% on all gals was accomplished by DmitriSkjorshammer and MatthewKeeter? on March 19, 2008. Previous attempts were made by DmitriSkjorshammer and AlexMcAuley (March 18th, 2008) but the game crashed 4 levels short.
- TheGame - DuctTapeGuy, a win. Flagrant cheating, of course, but what are you gonna do, since YOU just lost!
- [Grow] Everything max level: AlanKraut, TimGarvey, FrancesHocutt, EvilSouthie, EllenKephart, WillShipley, ChainMaille, NickJohnson, MacKenzieStuart, MikeBuchanan, RobinDobashi, ColleenSullivan Note: there are 3 versions of Grow, but v.1 and v.2 are very simple.
- [Grow RPG] Everything max level: MacKenzieStuart, EvilSouthie, MikeBuchanan, ChainMaille, NickJohnson, WillShipley, EllenKephart, MicahSmukler, TrevinMurakami, FrancesHocutt, RobinBaur, RobinDobashi, ColleenSullivan
- [Grow Cube] Everything max level: ChainMaille, MacKenzieStuart, EvilSouthie, MikeBuchanan, NickJohnson, TrevinMurakami, FrancesHocutt, RobinDobashi, ColleenSullivan, BobChen, MartijnvanSchaardenburg, AlanGilder, MattKeeter
- I see some names in common here...
- Why do all the Grow games involve one-eyed creatures with wings?
- [Grow Island] Everything max level: ColleenSullivan, MattKeeter, PeterTu, StevenBerler (joint effort).
- [Hexic] - 308,365 with 2 black pearls by SeleneTan Ryan showed me this game, and he probably has a higher score than I do. Is there anywhere to play this other than MSN?
- [Hold The Button] - 39 min 24 sec 66 with no assists by RobinBaur
- 11 hr 6 min 1 sec 82, AdamField with assists (including a good box of cds holding the mouse down while I went to sleep)
- You know, if you have a mouse, you can just click it and then disconnect the mouse. Your computer never receives the release signal and so it thinks the mouse button is still down. Stupid computers hahaha.
- What happens if you plug the mouse back in without holding the button down first? Does it realize that the mouse is no longer clicked? Or does it invert clicking and non-clicking? Or something else?
- From my understanding, a mouse button sends both a pressed and a released signal. Each signal simply changes a flag, i.e. a press will always change the flag to "pressed," etc. So if you plug the mouse back in again and click, it will register the pressed signal and set the flag to "pressed," but since the flag is pressed anyways, nothing changes. So no, the computer does not realize the mouse is no longer clicked, but it doesn't particularly care either. Like I said, computers are stupid.
- Well, I tried this with Firefox (The site no longer seems to work in Safari) running under Mac OS X, and it doesn't work. Maybe it works under Windows or Lunux? ---JiBB
- 12 hr 45 min 25 sec 71, MartinPyne with assists (my CD container)
- For the record, this belongs to a mathematical class of "Stupid Games", or GamesEquivalentToStupidNim (on your turn you choose a pile and remove from it some number greater or equal to zero).
- 57 min 6.60 sec by JeremyWestfahl without assists.
- Thank you. No, seriously. Thank you. --RobinBaur, ashamed of that high score since I'm-not-sure-when.
- 2 hr 3 min 37 sec 78, RobinDobashi without assists. Yay for summer and six episodes of Bleach.
- 1 day, 23 hr, 34 min, 13 sec -- TimChallener You just have to left click, then while holding that down right click. Yay.
- [Ice Breaker Alpha] - 1,000,000 (level 21) by EvilSouthie (convinced of ability to play indefinately due to massive weapon upgrades getting to the point where a single laser wipes out two waves of aliens); 293,875, by AdamField
- The ILoseGame? - AlexBobbs, a loss I thought I had a win once, but it snuck up on me at the end, so I lost. I'm not convinced it's unbeatable, though. --EvilSouthie
- A win can be recorded if you can be patient enough to wait for OppositeDay? to roll around. --RichardGarfinkel
- Totally different from losing TheGame, despite certain similarities.
- Mahjongg (gnome-games), Difficult, no reshuffles: 2:30 - AndrewFarmer
- Marshie's Malloween Mix-Up - JulieWortman, 73,400. I know someone can top this. Yeah, but can anyone else put up with that freaking marshmallow for that long
- Meteos, Deluge Mode - 149,640 by AlexBobbs
- Love it, but don't actually own my own copy with which to compete. --RichardGarfinkel
- [Momentum Missile Mayhem] 266353 with two lives remaining on survival mode before getting bored by MarquisWang, 180129 and all tech researched with 3 lives remaining on survival mode by MaxGibiansky (had to go do other things. Couldn't steady-state indefinitely, because occasionally there's big explosions that fling tanks all over the place, but pretty close to indefinite play), 119773 on survival mode by EvilSouthie, 92990 on survival mode by FredJohnson
- [Motherload] 7,676,961,664 EvilSouthie, 1.8 billion, RichardGarfinkel (too lazy to do enough mining before beating the game)
- I was using the "second quest" feature to continue playing at higher difficulties- this lets you continue your score. Admittedly this does turn it into a "how long have you played" score.
- [N] (N is for Ninja!)
- Episode 00 - 335.975 - SteveHaas
- Episode 01 - 317.600 - SteveHaas
- Episode 02 - 199.100 - SteveHaas
- Episode 03 - 413.975 - SteveHaas
- Episode 04 - 469.150 - SteveHaas

- Episode 07 - 244.225 - SteveHaas
- Episode 08 - 493.925 - SteveHaas
- Episode 09 - 272.025 - SteveHaas
- (There's 50 more episodes, but that's a lot of high scores)
- I don't know if I have all my scores still (if I have them I will find time to post them), but I would totally be up for running through the whole game again. I can't remember if I beat it completely or not... --NikFloyd
- Also, this game is now available for the PSP and DS. I haven't played those versions yet, but I highly recommend it in any case. --NikFloyd
- Also, there are now 100 episodes (with 5 levels per episode) and a number of unlockables! Talk about a TimeSuck! --NikFloyd
- [Nanaca Crash] 14949.96m - BobChen, 14573.94m - ChainMaille
- Highest (vertical): 865.8m - ChainMaille
- Note by MarquisWang: I once got somewhere upwards of 63000m. There exists a nearly impossible to get bonus where first you hit the girl that does "Through and Run" and then immediately after that hit a special, which causes every ground hit to be a boost. Someone get it and report.
- I've gotten this before, but don't remember my score. It's awesome, by the way. --NikFloyd
- See [this page] for instructions
- [Night of the Zombie Kitties]:
- Normal mode: 25212 and victory-- EvilSouthie; 23111, Level 3 --ChainMaille
- Tapping the mouse button when kitties are really close will kill them.
- Nearly Impossible mode: 21277 and victory, EvilSouthie; 20134 and victory, SteveHaas; 23126 at Level 3, EvilSouthie
- Endurance: 252 kitties slain -- EvilSouthie; 202 kitties slain --DuctTapeGuy
- Whoa. I didn't think you'd get this one. See, my work computer, for whatever reason, didn't like Flash much, which made the game run very slowly....
- Once you get good enough to get past 150 at top speed, the only thing really limiting the score is consistency. I still can't get the rhythm down to have an invincible stream of dogs yet, but I'm close. --EvilSouthie (who feels bad about taking scores away on this list, since he's an alumnus now and not actually at the college)
- [OneSlime] - 33,446 by DanCicio
- This can totally be improved upon; just being able to beat the 5th level should do it. Now if only I could score more than one goal every 6 or 7 tries against Big Blue Boss.....--DanCicio
- [Onslaught 2] - 4,629,606,980 points by AdamField (wave 470, this time without black holes, which suck up all your points)
- OregonTrail - ConorMcNassar. Scored 4300 as a carpenter from Ohio. [Actual high score probably MUCH higher; please update if so]. :)
- [Peasant's Quest] - 145 points by DanCicio
- Rats. In before I could claim my high score of 1 :P --AlexBobbs
- Upped my high score. Now what do you do with the naked man? -- JiBB
- More like, what does the naked man do with you. Though I suppose he could always be a decoy.
- PeNis Size - 6.5 inches (erect) by AverageMale?. (What, you thought this page was anything else?)
- [Planarity] - Level 28 completed 14326 by FrancesHocutt; Level 26 completed 14734 by FrancesHocutt
- Level 14 completed 1631439 by EvilSouthie : Past level 11 you really need a fast computer. The script to calculate whether you've won or not will start lagging every move and threaten to crash flash when you beat the level. Silly intense computational winning conditions. (Old scoring method)
- StepMania:
- DanCicio - 93,027,734 and AA on Max 300 Heavy. No mods.
- JulieWortman - 92,937,513 and AA on Max 300 Heavy. Assist Tick, 1.5x.

- JulieWortman - 96,442,230, full combo and AA on Sakura Heavy. Assist Tick only. Double w00t.
- DanCicio - 93,565,940 and AA on Sakura Heavy. Extra stage (1.5x, reverse, dark, no recover, default arrow color--not note). Oh, and I was wrong--I got another extra stage after this one: Witch Doctor (couldn't choose) 1.5x, reverse, dark, sudden death.
- ChrisErickson - 96,579,832 and AA on Double mode Sakura Heavy. No mods
- JulieWortman - 91,179,431 and an A on Paranoia Survivor Max Challenge (aka PSMO, btw). 1.5x, assist tick.

- [Torus Trooper] - 5,931,931: Hard difficulty. Levels 0-16 straight, by JamesBrown
- Nice, someone else knows about Kenta Cho. By the way, he's made plenty of quality games, many of which are available for other platforms as well; see [Wikipedia].
- Trogdor - EvilSouthie. Stopped at level 70, with 14,100 points and 15 lives, having demonstrated the ability to play indefinitely. The game actually gets easier past level 50 or so. "Whoa, that's totally the best secret thing I've ever found in a game. It's like, some dude's name. And it's like flashing and stuff." ~ StrongBad
- [WebSudoku] Easy: DanCicio, 1:23 (Easy Puzzle 4,907,102,299); LizKadison, 2:35 (Easy Puzzle 5,546,948,897); ChainMaille, 3:02 (Easy Puzzle 8,371,110,412); EvilSouthie, 4:00 (Easy Puzzle 2,495,578,638)

- I love watching this page update after I add another game onto it.
- Windows Minesweeper - 1 Second (Expert Level) by HeatherJustice (just look at the Best Times record on my laptop...... And no, I did not freeze the clock, there are other ways...)
- 72 seconds (Expert Level), without freezing the clock - DanCicio
- Windows Solitaire - a win, by MartinPyne (sorry, I didn't check the score)
- [Winterbells] - AlexUtter: 36,945,005,190,620, BrianaKonigsberg: 16,102,990,200, AlanKraut: 785,152,260 (The score grows somewhat faster than exponentially. The curious could investigate whether they're using a long-long or even a BigInteger?.)
- WormsArmageddon:
- DanCicio for longest roping time (he got past the point where _life_ was the limiting factor, and only hand cramping did him in--or the monitor's power-save mode)--best "posted" time: 5 hours roping, 900 seconds on the clock, 12 (of 15) life left.
- As I recall SteveHaas and NickJohnson were also more or less at the stage of unbounded roping as well, though neither of them actually posted a time comptetitive with Dan's best.
- NickJohnson for longest grenades time (theoretically infinite, i think i did 2.5 hours or something ridiculous like that, with 200+ seconds on the clock when i stopped throwing grenades, no pauses).
- SteveHaas on Euthanasia (almost an hour, died due to dropping a cluster bomb on myself, still had several minutes of time stored up)
- SteveHaas, NickJohnson, EvilSouthie, DanCicio, and AlanKraut are unbounded on supersheeping.
- EvilSouthie was looking pretty unbounded for rifle training (the first run was slightly slow, since I had to spend a little time clearing away terrain. The next four or so gained time. After that I was limited by terrain disappearing, which means I'm not completely unbounded).
- [Yeti Gore] - 1235.5 by ChrisErickson
- This game makes me sad. See "smack the pingu!!!" above for the inimitable original.
- Zardoz - 0 times by MaxGibiansky (Ha! Beat you all!), 0.0000001 times by TrevinMurakami (Only saw the only line worth saying reportedly), 1 time by JeremyWestfahl, 2 times by JulianEvans, 3 times by AndrewHunter, 6 times by HendrikOrem
- This game deserves a War Games quote. -AlanKraut
- Claiming top spot is silly... especially since you're sharing it with a non-trivial number of people --MichaelBraly
- My parents saw this movie in theaters. That's right, they paid to watch Zardoz.
